An introduction to Anna

Settling in Northern Jutland particularly due to the distinctive nature — the windswept trees and open stone deserts, reminiscent of other times and potential futures – Mørch’s practise is clearly inspired by the surrounding landscapes. The term landscape must be understood as everything found around us — the uninterrupted horizons and the dew-covered moss, and also the sensations of the world created by the world’s impressions, from the simplest of connections to the universe of galaxies that is found just behind our eyelids.

Anna Mørch is an artist and art historian based outside Ålbæk, Northern Jutland. While she is educated as an illustrator, her practise includes collage, print, pastels and oil. Mørch recently presented the solo exhibition Grenen, Jorden, Mælkevejen at The White Lighthouse in Skagen, and has previously exhibited at Statens Museum for Kunst.
